Hazel, Spitz Billie, and Allie McCartney

Hazel was born in 1889 and Allie died sometime between 1910 and 1920 (Ben is listed as a widower in the 1920 census). I'm not very good at judging age, but my guess is that Hazel is between 15 and 20 here, so this picture would be dated between 1904 and 1909, almost certainly not as early as 1900 and definitely not later 1920

The Spitz Midget was owned by the McCartney family. It is probably a German Spitz. During World War I, the breed was renamed the American Eskimo Dog in America.
